Where the Eden Project in Cornwall focuses on generating electricity from steam and hot water produced inside the earth’s surface, another project, dubbed the Ecorium Project, sees Samoo Architecture highlighting how a 33,090 sq m area could develop into an eco-architectural bio-network. Proposed along the upcoming National Ecological Institute (NEI) in South Korea, the project will embrace some interlinking domes harnessing solar energy through a sun-tracking mechanism. Being devoid of shade, the structure will rely on shade simulation alone.
The NEI will play a important role as a think tank for research and policy making. Additionally, this institution will foster and nurture the general public’s awareness, educate and the importance of the environment through exhibitions and education programs.
Says a talking head from Samoo.
Moreover, you would see the exterior touting a profusion of metal panels, wood, and Plexiglas with double glazing. When developed fully, the project will contain a wild plant reserve, wetlands reserve, visitors center and railway. Hence, it should be perfect for those who prefer closeness to nature and wish to have a first-hand feel of its various phenomena.
