Fascinatingly elusive smile of Mona Lisa has kept millions guessing for long. Making it harder to pin down, the Chinese artists have reinvigorated the same profile on a Chinar leaf this time. Time-consuming? Yes, it is, and it takes several months to make one. The artists need to scrape the leaf of its outer layers without hurting the veins. Later, the artwork on the leaves is preserved and framed.
The leafy canvas becomes a medium of expression, leading you to the Statue of Liberty, Mao Tse-Tung, Che Guevara, some feminine characters, and some Chinese legends.
