Last week, we covered the Ningbo Tengtou Pavilion that promised to promote the cultural heritage of China. Now this time, Haim Dotan Architects display the Israeli Pavilion for Shanghai Expo 2010 that will highlight how humanity and nature, innovation and technology, earth and sky go hand in hand to produce an eco-friendly public place.

First, there is the hall of light studded with transparent PVC/glass and a 15-meter screen inside the glass space touting Israel’s technological achievements. Next, the hall of innovation features natural stones and a profusion of recycled materials. You could see Israeli children, doctors, scientists and inventors expressing envisioning the future. The third section, i.e. the whispering garden, will have trees that would greet visitors in Chinese and English as they draw near.
