Coastal California is now cleaner than ever!

coastal clean up

Thanks to the 25th California Coastal Clean Up Day that allowed 66,250 volunteers statewide to help clean Californian beaches. The program proved to be a tremendous hit as 909,204 pounds of trash and recyclable materials was fished out. The trash contains plastic bottles, glass bottles, soda cans, bottle caps, shoes, condoms, plastic straws, nails, Styrofoam pieces, plastic knives/forks/spoons and cigarette butts. As these are just the initial projections, you can hope the tally will swell up to 100,000 pounds with more information pouring in.

The debris communicates how plastic bosses when it comes to pollute our immaculate beaches. Storms, rain, the inland sources keep on piling up them along and in shores. Well, it’s much sensible if we take the rap and use trashcans, recycling bins and all, rather allowing it to create havoc with marine lives.
