Why Do Red Meat Risks Cancer Rise?

Eating lots of red meat can raise the risk of bowel cancer. Researchers believe they have decoded the reasons behind it. To find this, Human Nutrition Unit and the Open University scientists compared a red meat diet and a vegetarian diet.

Their study found the red meat diet was associated with a higher level of damage to the body’s DNA. This study is published in Cancer Research. Regular meat eaters are significantly more likely to develop bowel cancer. And it is said that almost 17,000 people die from the disease each year.
