Fresh vegetables may play an important role in cutting down your blood pressure that often haunt you with the risks like heart attack, strokes and paralysis. Professor Paul Elliott of Imperial College, London and colleagues have concluded this after studying about 4,680 persons.
During the course of study, it was also found that the patients who were now relying on fresh vegetables had their blood pressure under control.
Throwing more light on the importance of vegetables in our diet, Belinda Linden, medical spokesperson for the British Heart Foundation said:
Vegetables contain less salt and more antioxidant vitamins, are low in calories, high on fiber and also help to control diabetes.
So don’t delay in adding fresh vegetables to your meal to keep high blood pressure miles away from you.
