Turn to yoga for a healthy living

Each day people from various walks of life are turning to yoga as it possesses great healing power and capable of curing numerous physical and mental ailments. Legend has that ages ago yoga originated in India and now it is an integral part of Indian culture and spirituality.

There are various postures, known as asanas and breathing techniques as known as pranayamas by practicing these two techniques one can remain fit, mentally as well physically. It also relaxes body and makes it stronger and agile. Even researches have proved that correct postures of yoga have tremendous healing effects on human body. It has also been proved that majority of diseases for instance like obesity, blood pressure, and pain in different parts of body can be cured by regular yoga. In fact a person can lose upto 3-4 kgs of weight within a couple weeks, provided he or she continues to do it regularly. Yoga is not limited to any age; in fact children, young, pregnant ladies and the even aged can reap the benefits of yoga.

Some guidelines that should be followed while practicing yoga are:
* Try practicing yoga just before the sunrise and perform it in a open space
* Learn it from a trained person before getting into regular practice
* Begin with easier asanas
* Practice it with an empty stomach or 3 hours after the meal
* Give gap of 2-3 minutes between two asanas
* Don’t consume water while practicing Yoga
* Wear loose clothes
* Don’t over do yourself.
