Ticks cause Lyme disease

Lyme disease passes to people and animals through tick bites generally. If someone is infected with the disease, headache, joint pains, muscle pains and other flu-like symptoms come out within fifteen days.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is urging people to stay away from wooded areas and heavily contaminated places with ticks. To avoid it, just wear pale clothing to notice ticks easily. Long-sleeved shirts, full pants and large boots also help to reduce tick bites. DEET, the insect repellent, can dissuade ticks too.
