Solving foster crisis: Saying no to foster care

The council taking care of isolating children from parents who are subjected to substance abuse is ignoring a bigger problem in hand. Instead of spending tens of thousands of pounds on a foster care campaign, it should address to those parents who have a substance abuse. Separating children from their parents is not a solution, with the exception of those parents who subject their children to corporal or mental chastisement.

Can the council give a full-proof guarantee that the foster carers will behave properly with their adopted children? The council might be in a risk of letting the children go into a phase of early childhood depression. Monitoring parent’s health and childhood depression should be the two major issues that should be taken into consideration this New Year. Counter view: Scotsman
