Dr. Stefan Ambs and his associates of the National Cancer Institute, Maryland have concluded a study, which revealed that a cancer-causing gene, SNP309 together with an anti-cancer gene, P53 may control the chance of survival of breast cancer.
The Journal of the National Cancer Institute has published the detail of report. The researchers said that SNP309 alone did not have an effect on survival.
While combined certain p53 changes, it may reduce the chances of survival. Researchers are now started making drugs to control the proteins produced by p53.
