Smoking leads to concentration problems in teens

ciggerat 5Here’s another reason to quit smoking. Pregnant females and teenagers should say no to that puff for it can lead to concentration problems with the unborn babies and with teenage smokers themselves.

This research from the departments of psychiatry and pediatrics at Yale University’s medical school, claims that the exposure to smoke before birth and also during teenage years effects the brain development and creates concentration problems.

This was concluded after the teens who were exposed to smoke and the others were put to an attention test. And results clearly displayed the disparity between the levels of concentration between the four groups. Those who didn’t smoke and who’s mother’s didn’t smoke faired pretty well in comparison to their smoke exposed counterparts.
