Medical isolation aggravates mental health problem

In one of his recent articles, Dr. Simon Atkins has expressed concern on the indifference of medical fraternity towards failing mental healthcare. The recently-out Healthcare Commission paper shows that psychiatrists cancel their councilling sessions, and thus, leave very little scope for talking therapies.
Lack of qualified psychiatrists not only accounts for negligence on the part of psychiatrists, but also worsens the condition of the affected person when he finds himself somewhat alone without anybody around, who has the ability to carry his burden. Read More: The Guardian
