Kimchi curing bird flu in South Korea

Cabbage, cabbage and more cabbage in health cures. After evidences of cabbage in cancer cures, a recent post in “I hate my cubicle”, speaks of its usage in curing bird flu.
I had reviewed the Kimchi recipe in my food blog yesterday and, today I am posting about its anti-bacterial qualities. Kimchi cures were also marked in the SARS outbreak in 2003.
While recent reports in BBC says that lactic acid bacteria has speeded the recovery of 11 avian flu affected chickens, who were fed with a Kimchi extract in Seoul University, South Korea, it is also reported that it is infected with roundworms. Anyways it is a possible cure; it has to pass through medical trials to get the shape of a drug in bird flu cure.

Kimchi is next in the row after Tamiflu, provided it clears the clinical trials and except if there is a dearth of Napa cabbages, there will be no lack in the supply of this fermented cabbage.
Thanks I hate my cubicle
