The Union of Concerned Scientists in Berkeley has published a report on harmful diesel exhaust school buses and it poor consequences on school going kids. About 505,000 school buses in the U S are very dirty and more than one-third of those are a decade old. Those buses are silently becoming health risks for the kids in the U S.
They intake the polluted elements while traveling in the buses. According to the report, about ninety-five percent of the school buses use diesel and diesel exhaust can cause asthma, cancer and other health problems. The Environmental Protection Agency already granted $6 million for school bus cleanup this year. But, yet no step has taken to save kids from the disease carrier buses.
