Men can play a vital role in making Prevention of mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) programs more effective; a Zimbabwean HIV/AIDS organization has put forward this belief.
In many cases, it has been found that women often don’t reveal it to their family members that they are HIV infected, with the fear of being kicked off the house. But if men are enrolled in PMTCT program then they can take step more firmly and effectively to curb the spread of HIV virus.
Personally, I believe that this idea is quite appropriate, especially for the countries like Zimbabwe, where men play a dominant role in the society.
