Water has always been associated with life. Scientists now have ample evidence to substantiate this popular belief. “Super-oxidised” water developed by US scientists has the potential of aiding in faster wound healing. Electrically charged oxychlorine ions called Microcyn is formed in the water by filtering it through a salt-membrane. These ions pierce the cell-walls of bacteria, virus and fungi that impede the healing process. This breakthrough comes in the wake of an observation that the hypochlorite present in bleach is electrically charged and kills most of the bacterial strains. The effectiveness of this ‘healing water’ is far greater than bleach in killing certain strains of bacteria that are bleach-resistant.
For quite some time now, diabetics and older people have struggled with wounds that take ages to heal. Foot ulcers would never heal because of bad circulation of blood. Applying the water to the wounds kills the microbes and hastens the process of healing. Since the human cells are bound in a compact matrix, the water poses no threats as it kills only those cells that can be surrounded entirely. In recent times, lot of research has been undertaken to develop safer, more effective remedies to improve the health of people and increase their life spans. This discovery is a veritable solution to most of the problems relating to wound recovery.
