Now you can heal visible facial wounds. Patients can be benefited with Botox injection. It is the first medical treatment with minimum scarring, as told by Dr. David Sherris, professor also the chairman of otolaryngology department at Buffalo University.
A study funded by Mayo Clinic was made to test the injection on 31 patients having facial wounds. Some of them were given botox and some with saline, within 24 hours of procedure.
After six months, it was found that the patients receiving Botox injection rated to 8.9 as that to saline injection which was 7.1 regarding the healing of the wounds from rating scale of 1 to 10.
Scar treatment can be improved using Botox injections, which showed significant results.
