Gum diseases higher up the chances of pancreatic cancer, even in those persons who do not smoke, according to a new finding. Two previous studies conducted in this regard have also evinced that there is a strong association between periodontitis (inflammation of the gums around the teeth) and pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer is the fourth leading cause of death in US.
During study, a fact came to the light that people with periodontal disease had 63 percent higher chances of developing pancreatic cancer.
It means there is certainly a relationship between periodontal disease and pancreatic cancer.
