Gene responsible for Alzheimer's disease discovered!

Researchers’ struggle to fight Alzheimer’s disease is bound to have another boost as they have dug out another gene called, SORL1 responsible for the emergence of the disease. Actually, researchers found that people with more variants of this gene were comparatively more vulnerable to Alzheimer’s disease while this link was not found in healthy people of same age group.
Earlier too, researchers had divulged that people with a specific kind of CETP gene had fewer chances of developing Alzheimer’s diseases and this new study also brings out a link between gene SORL1 and Alzheimer’s disease. I hope that such new findings would further help these researchers understanding life-threatening disease, Alzheimer in a much better way. Moreover, it would help them in modifying their strategy to fight Alzheimer more successfully.
