Coffee: A health drink?

Whereas excessive consumption of coffee is bad for health at the same time its moderate, consumption may shower upon you several health benefits too. According to the recent studies, conducted to know the impact of coffee consumption, it was found that moderate consumption of coffee has benefits. Here is a wrap up of those advantages:-

1. Coffee consumption improves glucose regulation and lowers the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

2. Moderate coffee consumption was found keeping positive effect on Alzheimer’s disease, kidney stones and depression.

3. Coffee was also found carrying antioxidants, which play an efficacious role in fighting cancer cells.

Briefing some of these benefits Roger A. Clemens, a functional food expert with the Institute of Food Technologists and nutritional biochemist said:

Scientific evidence now suggests that moderate coffee consumption-3 to 5 cups a day-may be associated with reduced risks of certain disease conditions.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first study that has come out eulogizing coffee because several studies, conducted earlier, have also come out doing the same things. At the same time, some studies have exposed its negative effects too, which cannot be ignored.

Well, for coffee lovers this is good news, as it will give them a reason to have an extra cup of hot coffee.
