The vaccine developed by China against the H5N1 strain of Bird Flu in humans tested to be safe in first round. The government says that before approving the vaccine to human use, more tests are necessary.
The test conducted by China Center for Disease Control on six volunteers at Beijing hospital, proves the vaccine to be safe and effective. The vaccine is meant for poultry workers as they are the high risk groups to be affected.
As from H5N1 strain of flu, China has suffered 14 human deaths. Experts fear for the virus which by developing a new strain to spread human to human, thereby creating global transmission.
