PEG is a harmful chemical used in hair products that is actually meant to be used in cleansers. DEAs, MEAs, TEAs
Diethanolamine, Triethanolamine, and Momoethanolamine are common harmful chemicals present in a number of shampoos available on the market. TEAs present in hair products that claim to balance pH levels lead to skin and hair dryness, and cause allergic reactions such as eye problems. They also lead to kidney and liver damage.
Isopropyl Alcohol
Hair that lack adequate amount of moisture are the ones that are more prone to damage. Many of you might know that alcohol has the ability to dehydrate and still you do not think even once before you wash your hair using a shampoo that has alcohol as one of its major ingredients.
This sounds silly but actually, some people are doing this. Alcohol based shampoos leave your hair moisture deprived, and the other side effects include nausea, vomiting, depression, dizziness and headaches. The next time you are at the shop with the intent to buy a shampoo, kindly drop the ones that have alcohol in them.
FD& C Color Pigments
Many of the shampoos look visually appealing because they contain synthetic colors. It seems their manufacturers are more concerned to make shampoo good to look at and avoid its side effects. Almost every color contains coal-tar that is carcinogenic and you know what such products do to us. They add toxins into your skin and cause irritation and serious allergies.
Ureas and DMDM Hydantoin
These are formaldehyde releasers and you know that formaldehyde is a carcinogen. It causes eye and respiratory irritation, inflammation of skin, disrupts heart palpitation, dermatitis, headaches, ear infections and many other infections.
You must look carefully at the ingredient list of all the hair products you pick for they contain a number of chemicals. Get to know such chemicals and never pick a product that contains them.
