The Cabbage Soup Diet is a diet that lasts one week (7 days). What you can drink is water and on the days that fruit is permitted you can try some fruit juice without sugar. The usual layout of the week for the diet is as follows:

  1. the first day: cabbage soup and as much fruit as you want but you have to exclude babanas
  2. the second day: cabbage soup and vegetables with backed potato and a small quantity of butter
  3. the third day: cabbage soup, fruit, vegetables but you have to exclude potatoes and bananas
  4. the fourth day: cabbage soup, bananas (8 pieces) and skimmed milk as much as you like
  5. the fifth day: cabbage soup, approximately 280 g of beef and tomatoes (6 pieces)
  6. the sixth day: cabbage soup, beef and vegetables as much as you want but exclude potatoes
  7. the seventh day: cabbage soup, brown rice with vegetables (without potatoes) and fruit juice without sugar

The receipe was changed because the diet wasn`t rich enough in elements that the body needed. This is how the most recent receipe of the cabbage soup diet is a healthier version because includes the proteins and reduces sodium that were missing in the older versions.
