Obese as employees is a never-ending debate and one that can take many directions in future. While not all perspectives can be studied, the American retail giant has taken up a couple of health directive. It has denied jobs to obese candidates, as obese being a storehouse of diseases burdens a company’s healthcare costs, and affects the overall efficiency of the company.
On one hand, it is a good initiative and on the other hand, it might be a reduction in efficiency by driving out good brains from the company.
