Ecotecture, a Nevada Limited Liability Company, offers the UltraGreen Villa, a recycled container-based designer home, for those who have a thing about sustainability. The 350 sq. ft. homes embrace these 40’x8’x9’ “ready-made” building blocks laid side-by-side and/or stacked in multiple configurations. Shippable by road, sea freight, rail or air, these eco-homes can be delivered anywhere.
Building Process:
To make the recycled containers worth living in, the manufacturer carves openings for doors, windows and skylights, and installs sidings and fixtures to them. Some exquisite plumbing and wiring work make these homes suitable for its clients. Finished with Supertherm Insulative Coating, the container houses come off well for 30 to 40 years. These have provision for cabinets, counter-tops, appliances and other fixtures as well.
Effortless installing:
Since these containers with a load-bearing capacity of 57,000 lbs each can be stacked over each other, they are welded in place, and the installation does not take more than four hours. A fiber-cement siding or a spray-on stucco is applied in order to beautify them. Finally, to render them with more sturdiness, steel security roll-up doors are re-fitted.
