A new and unbelievable pop-art design for the Taipei Pop Music Center has been proposed recently. Proposed by Nabito Architects, the enthralling design amalgamates a photovoltaic facade and a wall clad in LED panels. Completely powered by the sun, the LED façade uses energy harnessed from sunlight to light up at night. What you will get to see on this interesting LED media wall is news, weather, advertisements, entertainment, movie and trailers for new events, and all this information will of course depend on the activities of the Pop Music Center on that particular day.
The music event hall that is a sheer proposal for the Taipei Pop Music Center Competition is based on a horizontal slab that has been twisted at the center, creating one vertical slab and one horizontal one. The LED wall on the north side of the vertical slab projects digital media art and the south facade of the horizontal slab contains photovoltaic cells integrated into glass panels. This net-zero design would be controlled by a central computer, which changes the projection depending on the present crowd and the events of the night. The Taipei Pop Music Center is a true portrayal of the ingenious use of renewable energy.
