Three times nominated for Academy Award for best writing, Nora Ephron was the queen of romantic comedy. Her stories have the flavor of love that is full of ecstasy. Bafta Award winner for Best Original Screenplay, Nora was an American Journalist, screenwriter, director and producer. Though the list of her work is quite long, films like “Silkwood”, “When Harry met Sally” and “Sleepless in Seattle” are the movies that very much deserve the appreciation they get. Nora passed away in June 2012 with pneumonia, and with her Hollywood lost one of the Veteran directors.

This New York based Indian film director has been nominated for Academy awards, Golden awards and Bafta awards as well. Her debut feature film “Salaam Bombay” was screened at the Cannes Film festival and won the Golden Camera award. Not only this, the film got nominated for the Academy Award for Best foreign language film.
