Power Plant Growing Machine grows herbs indoors sans soil

nasajpg

NASA scientists have designed a “mini allotment,” which lets you grow plants all year round without soil. This pioneering Power Plant Growing Machine uses a technique called “aeroponics” in order to grow the plants. The technique works by using an ingenious internal micro jet system constantly spraying roots with super-oxygenated, nutrient rich water so crops grow bigger and stronger on the spongy strip that lies just below the brim of the power plant. Then the seeds are sowed on the sponge and covered by the card seed cover. Once the shoots appear, the humidadomes are placed over each group of sprouts to help them grow.
