Designed as a transportable system for gardening and composting in the cities, the Compost Garden System by Dana Bechert comprises of two levels. The upper level houses planters, seedlings, tools, watering cans and other gardening accessories. The holes in the upper level base allow drainage into compost bins and let the heat rise from the compost below. The lower level of the Compost Garden System features two vermiculture bins for household waste. Air and drainage holes have been done in two plastic shipping containers, in which you can add worms and compost.
Heat from compost rises up and warms the plants on upper deck. Moreover, the users can separate the system to put compost and plants in different locations based on sunlight, heat or any specific needs. The Compost Garden System comes with wheels for easy transportation. You can bring it near to your house or inside the house in winter and move it away from the house easily in the summer season to avoid unpleasant smells and pests.
