But, have you ever thought how important it is for you to dress up properly too, when it is the first day of your kid’s schooling career? You probably have not given it a serious thought at all. But the matter of fact is, unless you are properly dressed, you will loose the confidence of meeting new people whom you have never met before in your life. Moreover, some of these newly formed acquaintances might turn out to be the relationships and friendships for life. So, it is unwise to take a chance here, as first impression is always the last impression. Here are a few styling tips for you that will guide you on how to dress up for school drop off.

1. Knee length dress

Among some of the most prominent outfits for school drop off, knee length skirts hold an important position. The length of the skirt helps you keep your hands off your dress, when holding the hand of your toddler becomes essential. Long skirts on other hand, will demand your hands everytime to pull them up and drop them down everytime you climb the stairs or cross a large boulder. Flowy shirts can again make you embarrassed as they can blow up with a gushing wind to reveal what is not intended at all. Dresses with hooks and eyelets can be challenging as they can get entangled with your kid’s school bag as you carry it to school.

2. Shorts or jeans with sweatshirt

You can wear shorts and trousers for the school drop off. Stick to dark colored shorts and wear jeans instead of formal trousers. These options are easy to maintain and will require no ironing or infrequent washing, as dark colors never show dirt and dust on them and are faster as the lighter ones. Moreover, they must also have simple stitches with not much hooks, metallic clutches or eyelets. Couple these up with sweatshirts for your upper torso.

3. Flat Shoes

Reserve your flat shoes and flat sandals as your drop off wardrobe accessories. They must never be high heels or else you will look either too dressy and it will be apparent that you are trying hard to be well dressed for the occasion. Together with it, a practical factor is that the amount of walking, rushing and hushing involved in dropping your kid at the school and picking up and running from classroom to classroom to meet the teachers, principal, buying study materials will always be in favor of wearing flat footwear as you will feel comfortable wearing them.
