Bizarre pregnancy symptoms and how to deal with them

Pregnancy is a loving experience. You may face diverse changes in your body. These changes may disturb you both mentally and physically but there is nothing to get worried about, every problem has a solution. 1. Yellow Discharge

Symptom: Pale yellow or sticky white discharge during pregnancy leave you exhausted and you may need to frequently change your panties. Have a word with your gynecologist if you notice foul smell, burns or itches in your perineal area. If the discharge becomes greenish yellow or excessively thick or watery, it’s the sign of infection, consult your gynecologist immediately.

Cause: Increase in hormones along with increase in vaginal blood flow.

How to deal: Wear special made sanitary pads prescribed by your doctor. Use medicated wipes for hygienic cleaning. Never use deodorants, they may cause irritation.

2. Leakage when there is little pressure

Symptom: Whenever there is some pressure or when you laugh or sneeze, you leak.

Cause: During pregnancy your doctors instruct you to drink plenty of water or liquid, something around 64 ounces a day. Too you have got an extra pound of tot and uterus on your bladder. So it’s an obvious situation. Don’t worry.

How to deal: Free yourself, pee whenever you want. The more you hold or control, the more it will leak. You can use thin maxis or mini pads to stay dry. 3. Fart even if you control

Causes: Intestines are lethargic and slow during pregnancy.

How to deal: The reason behind may be constipation and treating constipation would minimize your gas trouble and swelling in the abdomen too. Always keep a watch on your intakes. Avoid or consume less cabbage, corn, onion, broccoli, beverages and cauliflower. If still the problem persists, contact your health adviser.

4. Stuffed nose but not sick

Symptoms: Perpetual cold and you feel like blowing your nose most of the time.

Causes: Pregnancy increases the blood production as well as increase in hormone, which ultimately results in mucous membranes to dry, swell, and sometimes bleed.

How to deal: Use nose drops prescribed by your doctor, intake plenty of liquids. If your nose is bleeding, don’t lie down. Sit straight, close your nostrils with the help of your fingers until the bleeding stops. If it’s still bleeding place some ice, hold your nostrils again, if required. If still your nose continues to bleed, consult your doctor.

5. Snoring

Symptoms: Snoring hard whenever you go off to sleep.

Cause: Your congested nose makes you or forces you to breath from the mouth and so you snore.

How to deal: After consulting your doctor, use nose drops before you go to sleep. Sleep on one side and do keep a pillow so that you don’t roll over. Else you can use a humidifier, if required.

6. High Sweating

Symptoms: You are sweating hard, between your legs, on the belly, face, neck, back everywhere.

Causes: Since your body is pumping extra blood, it warms the skin. Perspiration is the way your body cools.

How to deal: Wear loose cloths; avoid synthetic clothes, intake plenty of fluids, use talc.

7. Salivate like baby

Symptoms: Because of pregnancy, some women produce surplus saliva. Bleeding gums are also common, particularly after brushing. You may observe some nodules known as ‘pregnancy tumors’ on your gums, don’t worry they are harmless and will vanish postpartum

Causes: Excess hormones are behind the bleeding gums.

How to deal: Use soft bristle brush. For saliva, spit out and consume lots of water with lemon.

8. Growing stuff on skin

Symptoms: Patchy face skin, dark lines on your belly, spider veins on neck, face, chest, arms. Skin hanging from arm pits, breast or neck

Causes: Change in hormones makes the skin patchy, extra melanin produced by our body results in dark spots and increase in blood production results into spider veins. Darkening of the skin is the result of hyper pigmentation from hormones.

How to deal: The spider vein disappears postpartum, but not completely. Only a dermatologist can remove skin tags. Avoid exposure to sun.

9. Big nipples, heavy and swollen breast

Symptoms: Swollen breast is a pregnancy syndrome which begins one to two weeks after one conceives. Small tiny bumps shoot around the nipples and excrete fluids.

Causes: These tiny bumps are glands lubricate the stretched out skin around the nipples.

How to deal: These are not harmful but may be painful sometimes. They will vanish once you finish nursing.

10. Discomfort

Symptoms: Pain in lower back, pain in butts, restlessness

Causes: These are common symptoms of pregnancy. Take complete rest, don’t carry heavy things.

How to deal: Don’t take medicines on your own as it may harm the baby. Consult your doctor if the pain is not bearable.
