Finally it wasn’t the iPhone 5 but the iPhone 4S that was launched at the “Let’s talk Phone” event on 4th October. Though, iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S have look similar, the iPhone 4S has a faster A5 processor, highly improved graphics and better performance. Apple made number of modifications under the hood of the iPhone 4S to improve the performance and deliver the excellence. iPhone 4S has better camera as compared to that of iPhone 4.
What is it?
iPhone 4S features the super fast Apple’s A5 dual core 1GHz processor along with dual core GPU. According to the sources from the apple the new chip set will make the phone twice fast as the iphone4. The graphics is seven times better than that of the apple iPhone 4. The battery used on the iPhone 4S is standard Li-Po 1420mAh. Despite the presence of more powerful processor apple claims that this phone offers stand by time of 300 hours battery backup, talk time of upto 14 hours over 2G, six hours for browsing over 3G, 9 hours via Wi-Fi,10 hours of video playback, and 40 hours of music play back.
The dimension of the iPhone 4S is 115X58.6X9.33 mm. This phone weighs 137g and is more handy. The iPhone 4S has capacitive touch screen and 16M colors thus offering a cool and vibrant display. The size is 640X960 pixels. The display is scratch resistant and lacks affinity for oil. It also features Multi-touch input method, there is faster auto rotation while turning the phone due to the presence of accelerometer sensor. There is a proximity sensor for auto turn off.
The iPhone 4s supports the following alert type vibrations and mp3s. It also features loud speaker and 3.5 mm jack for audio systems. Practically speaking this phone features unlimited entries, fields, and photo calls. They can store up to 100 received, dialed, missed calls. This phone has an internal memory of 16/32 GB of storage and has an RAM of 512 MB. This phone does not offer slot for memory cards.

What’s innovative
SIRI the most touted feature during the launch of the phone is a voice assistant that’s perhaps the newest of all features on the iPhone 4S. This feature doesn’t completely replace the current volume control system though but it does a lot more. SIRI is designed to provide information or to follow the command given by its user. For example, you can check weather or set up a reminder or you can ask questions such as what is the height of mount Everest. This feature is only seen in this phone and SIRI offers assistance to its user.
The price
The price of iPhone 4S will be available in there variants, the 16GB iPhone 4S costing $199 while the 32GB and 64GB variants will sell for $299 and $399 respectively.
The upside
The iPhone 4s camera is great but it’s getting better. The iPhone 4s has an 8 megapixel camera with an auto focus, flash f/2 .4 aperture lens and a back side illuminated CMOS sensor which allows more lighting effect than the previous one. The presence of hybrid IR filter provides better color while taking photo. Apple claims that its camera is many times faster than the camera which is featured in its predecessor. The new processor also offers face detection and offers better black and white balance thereby ensuring good picture quality.
The downside
The multitasking capability of this phone is poor.
There are many restrictions while using applications like Skype.
The bottom line
Though this phone has many flaws it is very great to use and it offers rich experience. It is user friendly and handy to use. iPhone 4S is great with a better camera, functions like siri and other valuable features we have noted. So, in case you’re wanting a phone this fall, perhaps the iPhone 4S should make the nomination.
