I have a denon receiver subwoofer. It is connected to an external amp using 14 gauge speaker wire going to the SUB OUT speaker terminals on the amp. From the amp I have the white cable on a RCA cable connected to the line l on the amp going to the subwoofer pre out on the AV receiver. In the receiver settings I set all the speakers to small and turned the subwoofer setting to LFE+Main. Iâve checked for continuity from the sub to the wall plate Iâm using and itâs good. Do I need to have a Digital optic cable going from the components to the receiver to allow the sub to work? Please help.
