Nokia has taken the lid off of its latest Windows Phone 8 based smartphone, the Lumia 920. The phone features Nokia’s new PureView Camera features a Carl Zeiss lens which has an 8.7 megapixels resolution and comes with ceramic zirconium detailing. The 4.5 ” PureMotion HD+ screen has a 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, displays 16.7 million colors and has a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Fitted with super sensitive touch technology, the display is crafted out of Corning® Gorilla® Glass and comes with orientation sensor, brightness control, ambient light detector and a polarization filter that optimizes the display.

The phone features a one-piece polycarbonate body and a Monoblock design which allows it to weigh a mere 185 g. The Nokia Lumia 920 comes with a dual-core 1.5Ghz Snapdragon™ S4 processor. According to Nokia, the processor is capable of meeting the demands of personal and business productivity, photography, gaming as well as the needs of the most demanding applications.

Connectivity options on the Lumia 920 include Qi Wireless charging, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.1 and Near Field Communication. The phone comes with 1000 MB internal memory and with a MicroSD slot that allows the storage to be expanded up to 32GB. Through a SkyDrive account, the memory on the device can be expanded to up to 7GB. The Nokia Lumia 920 is expected to hit retail stores by November.
