Nokia has decided to discontinue its association with Fleishman-Hillard, who took care of their devices and mobile solutions units in India. The Finnish mobile manufacturer had hired two agencies two years ago. One of them was Fleishman-Hillard, while Six Degrees is the other which takes care of corporate PR brief.
Corporate Voice Weber Shandwick and Genesis Burson-Marsteller are expected to fill the spot for Fleishman-Hillard in upcoming months. Six Degrees is not under any review and would continue to look at corporate PR mandate. Fleishman-Hillard would be relieved from the role by the end of June.
Nokia’s market share has been decreasing for a couple of years. Still, Nokia has a massive 31 percent of mobile market share in India. The smartphone segment is even weaker. The revenue generated last year for Nokia Siemens and Navteq businesses has also faced a marginal dip.
