Nokia’s mesmeric new handset, the 808 PureView is about to land in Indian market. So, tech gossipers are eager to know about the expected price of the 41-megapixel gigantic camera phone. Recently, we had a leaked report that Nokia’s Online Store has inexplicitly exposed the price of the device as Rs. 29,999. But Nokia has rebuffed the rumor and said that it was only a dummy price. The handset wouldn’t come for Rs. 29,999, the Finnish handset maker’s spokesperson explained.
Previous reports said that the ‘source code’ of Nokia Online Store showed price of the upcoming handset as Rs. 29,999. Meanwhile, the store hasn’t yet shown the actual price of the device, which Nokia revealed at the Mobile World Congress 2012. But Nokia has now smashed the rumors and has said that the handset will not be available for a price below 30K. Of course, the passionate Nokia fans will be disappointed about the news.
The 808 PureView is one of the largely awaited handsets from Nokia. The device is known for its 41-megapixel rear camera, which makes the device a monster camera phone. The camera features of the handset include Xenon Flash, 1/1.2-inch sensor size, 3X Lossless digital zoom and 1080P@30fps video recording capability.
Other features of the Nokia Belle OS-based handset include a 1.3GHZ ARM 11 processor, 4-inch 360 x 640 pixel AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, 16GB internal memory plus 32GB expandable microSD slot and much more. Nokia has presented the device as a worthy successor to its N8 phone and now the entire world is largely waiting for it. India may soon get the phone for a reasonable price.
