Just rewind a bit, and try and remember the first product that Apple and Nike collaboration produced. Bingo, the Nike+ SportKit fitness monitor on the iPod Nano! Jump back to right now and it seems that the two are all set to renew their old association. This time around the Nike+ technology will be making its way over to the iPhone and the iPod Touch. Is this a response to Samsung’s teaming up with Adidas (for the Samsung F110 Adidas Fitness phone), or merely two old friends renewing their association? Your guess is as good as mine. Additionally, however, the rumor mill also has that Nike+ on iPhone would allow on-the-move updating of the workout logs via WiFi and 3G with other compatible iPhones carrying Nike+. So it seems that wireless workout training may also be in the offing. This feature was obviously missing on the iPod Nano and one needed to dock it with a PC/Laptop. This means that geeks the world over need not break a sweat to dock and stuff. And of course, the fitness mantra will pass on to the users of iPhone and will give them a reason to get their butts up early every day.
