The Next-Gen computing device is all set to evolve into a smartphone or PDA that besides the computing, web and high-end multimedia features will also work for days on a single charge. While our latest Windows Mobile smartphones are running successfully on the NVIDIA Tegra APX 2500 processor, NVIDIA has come up with its new more startling processor that is a single-chip computer, tailor-made for mobile computing. The NVIDIA Tegra 650 processor features all-day media processing for 130 hours audio and 30 hours HD video playback. Ideally suited for the next-generation camera and video phones it has a HD video processor and imaging processor.
To bring the desktop experience to the mobile phone, the new Tegra processor has incorporated hardware support for Web 2.0 applications. Further, there are direct support features for WiFi, disk drives, keyboard, mouse and a large number of peripherals. The architecture of the chip processor allows hours of high quality multimedia experience consuming little power. Priced in the range of $200 to $250, by the end of this year, we can expect new products with NVIDIA Tegra processor.
