Volksgarden is gardening on wheels for city dwellers

Exurbanites, residing in posh colonies, always crave for green spaces thanks to some haphazard construction practices. Consequently, they’re forced to utilize whatever little space they have in their apartments or mansions. To help such green-minded folks have an indoor garden, the Omega Garden Technology offers the Volksgarden unit, which can grow up to 80 plants all together. The revolving hydroponics unit keeps on swinging the harvested herbs, vegetables and grains around a growth-optimizing light source.

The compact garden has a rotating cylinder to expose plants to light once after every 45 minutes. In tandem with the above-stated space-crunch, the dimensions of one of the variants i.e. the Complete Unit Model reads 48in. diameter x 76in. height x 30in. width, thus occupying approx. 20 sq. ft. of floor space. Other notable features include built-in thermal limit switches, two 600W Hortilux bulbs, and a unique subjection to the pull of gravity just in case the garden stops rotating.

Now, the price tag reading $1995 might make you worry a bit. Still, for this truly appreciable greenhouse, it is not that much.
