A perfect example of sustainable architecture, this four-bedroom house located outside Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam has been entirely made out of bamboo. Owned by Hao Dang, the bamboo house is a treat for nature lovers and those who wish to live a sustainable lifestyle. Offering picturesque views of the surrounding river and rice fields, the bamboo house has furniture that’s custom made by Dang’s own company, which deals in bamboo furniture and building materials.
The house uses solar energy and waste is composted to be used as fertilizer. There is a hand carved stone tub and a vegetable garden. Hao Dang put the house on the market for $1 million in October, and is looking for an eco conscious buyer. Regarding the sale, he says that this bamboo house is not about money, but about promoting a green living style.
