U.S. summers to get warmer by 10 degrees in 2080 NASA

nasa 9With the world already beaten up with warm summers, here are some more predictions to bedevil the situation, especially in the eastern United States.

The NASA scientists have recently suggested that increasing global warming may further raise the average summer temperatures in the region. A little more than 70 years to go, and the temperature is to push nearly up by 10 degrees Fahrenheit.

With the current summer in the eastern U.S. averaging in the low-to-mid-80s (degrees Fahrenheit) is most likely to soar into the low-to-mid-90s by the 2080s during its typical summers! — the research revealed.

Chicago, Washington and Atlanta be aware! During the 2080s, when precipitation will fall infrequently, the daily high temperatures could average 100-110 degrees Fahrenheit! This is deadly!

Lead author Barry Lynn of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies and Columbia University, New York said,

There is the potential for extremely hot summertime temperatures in the future, especially during summers with less-than-average frequent rainfall.

The weather model used to make this prediction is taken from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Extreme summertime surface temperatures are developed with the continuous increase in carbon dioxide emissions to about two percent a year, according to IPCC model.

So, either act now or you will never have an opportunity to undo the harms handed out to the environment, only to get them back in multiplied punches.
