The way parents raise their children is undergoing a drastic change and this change has been developing and changing for a considerable period. In fact, the day when a child was seen but not heard is long gone. The fact although is they are still kids who are disregarded by parents and are vulnerable, many parents today keep no stone unturned in attaining a style of parenting that is fair and balanced.
Winds of transformation
In modern society, there is the much-needed focus on parenting and consequently you are overexposed when it comes to information, which informs you the ideal ways of bringing up children. Earlier generation parents heavily relied on relatives for guiding them in the appropriate direction and even till today some extent of it is valid.

Parents in years past were highly concerned with bring up obedient, non-self centred children while on the contrary, parents of today lay stronger emphasis to build a kid’s autonomy, individuality and self-esteem. Back then, children in the home were expected to be present at dinner on a particular set time and consume what was given to them. Not following so was considered a mark of disobedience.
Today discipline has undergone a change. Both experts and parents alike agree that society put fewer responsibilities and expectations on kids today than there were few decades ago.

Gender identity earlier was mired in tradition, men were dads, and women were moms. However, today both women and men occupy roles that suit them better, whether in the workplace or in the home.
The untold ways that adults are becoming partners and creating families is certainly a higher expression of truth compared to any other time. This is an era where kids are coming of age in this world, which has an increasingly evolving term of family.
Exposure
In this current epoch, parents run pillar to post carrying their kids amid various activities. Children today have the privilege to learn and develop skills, which were unheard of in the years past. Present generation parents pick from an assorted range of activities such as sport activities, art, dance and music class, speech and drama and horse riding. These activities were unheard of earlier.
Summary:
No doubt, styles and methods of parenting have changed with time but at the end there is something, which will never change regardless of how many generations have passed. This is how parents care, love and feel about their children.
