At the international furniture fair IMM Cologne, German entertainment furniture maker Spectral unveiled the Cockpit, an elegant end table range with an integrated docking station for iPhone/iPod. The Spectral Cockpit side table lets you control your music, pictures and videos from the comfort of your sofa or chair. The dock for the Apple iDevices sits discreetly under the glass top and the hidden cable runs through the base. The Cockpit combines the features of a side table, docking station and control centre into one piece of furniture. The Spectral Cockpit is available in three different models.
The CP01 table has a colored glass base, a colored glass top and an aluminum column. The CP02 model comes with a drawer for storing items such as remote controls, bottle openers or magazines. Since the glass top is attached magnetically, you can position your iPhone, iPod or iPad in different directions. The last one if the Cockpit CP03 model that comes with hidden front-firing and down-firing subwoofers inside the cabinet. It features magnetically attached glass top, fabric-covered hinged doors and an adjustable glass shelf with plenty of space for your gadgets, magazines and other stuff.
The standard colors for Cockpit side table are black, snow and silver. You can also choose from over 2,000 additional glass colors for an additional surcharge. Pricing for the Spectral Cockpit range starts at $499.
