Solar Cell technology leads to carbon-free hydrogen fuel source

RoseStreet Labs Energy (RSLE) scientists at Phoenix, Arizona, made it possible to generate hydrogen gas from sunlight. They utilized a photoelectrochemical cell (PEC) to capture the full spectrum of the sun for power generation and the storage as well. The power production does not involve any outer energy resource since a single device does it without burning natural gas in the process. The invention will lead to more hydrogen fuel-powered vehicles on the road soon.

RSLE also takes pride in revealing its plan to start field trials for its novel Full Spectrum photovoltaic development in 2010. It will render +25% efficiency to its already efficient photovoltaic technology. While making use of Nitride Thin Film Semiconductors, the panels exhibit extreme resistance against solar radiation, heat and corrosive environments.
