Parrot Pot & Parrot H20 device
Good news for the folks who love plants but forget to water them. Parrot has invented a smart pot that waters the plants automatically. The pot has a total capacity of four liters divided equally for water and soil. A sensor in the pot would connect to your phone via Bluetooth and send information like temperature, soil moisture, fertilizer content and light being received to the company.
Using this information, the pot will be directed to water the plant, the information from the pot is sent every fifteen minutes. The H2O stick is another device that would do the same job. The user can fit a bottle from 0.5 liter to 2 liters on the stick and insert it in any pot.
Dacor Discovery IQ
The addition of a smart oven in a smart home would be a complimenting one. The Discovery IQ is actually the app and the Dacor’s Discovery series ovens bundled together. The single and two door ovens have built in Wi-Fi and a GUI (graphic user interface).
Interestingly, 512 MB of RAM and a 1 GHz Samsung processor is incorporated in the system. To regulate all the processes of the oven an Android operating system is present. The app will guide the user in the various recipes that are available.
Budgee
This robot or skeleton version of a robot could be your new assistant. You won’t have to train it like you did to your canine and it would follow you without any verbal command. Budgee will follow its master sensing the transmitter wore by the person. The bot can carry a load up to 50 lbs and follow the person in and outside the house.
The wheels beneath the droid make it slide smoothly on the ramps and sidewalks. We can’t say anything about the torque but the max speed it reaches is 2.4 mph, anyways we aren’t going to ride it. The battery would last a maximum of 10 hours, probably nobody would like being chased for anytime more than that in a day. The 20 lbs robot can be taken along easily and stored in a closet.
Piper NV
Night vision has always been fascinating, years ago the defense forces only had the privilege to see those green visuals. The Z-wave hub to which the camera is attached is exactly the same as before, the new addition to the security camera is the night vision.
Piper has added a better Arm processor to the Icontrol camera and upgraded the resolution to 3.4 megapixels giving the user a 1080p resolution. The Piper could manually switch to the NV mode and sensing low light it would automatically switch over to NV. The app works good and can control up to five piper cameras.
Kwikset Kevo
The Kwikset Kevo is much smarter than the regular dead bolts, using smart technology it lets the user enter his home without a physical key. The lock’s app is compatible with the iOS and a few Android 5.0 devices. Using Bluetooth technology the lock opens and locks by merely touching it.
It scans for the smart phone or the Kevo Fob and permits authorized entry. The smart homeowner can issue ekeys to friends and guests remotely, which can be programmed to be active for specific durations. The Kevo may be linked to the Nest thermostat that would sense an entry or exit and activate a mode accordingly.
