Bugs do not appear from thin air. If you find your home filled with bugs, there might be an inlet through which they are getting inside the house. Maintain Cleanliness

A messy house would most definitely invite bugs. Hence, keeping your house clean is a step towards getting rid of these pests for good. Cockroaches tend to gravitate towards the smell of paper. So make sure you clean the clutter areas like magazine racks, bags and boxes periodically to get rid of them.

A sink with dirty dishes and standing water is one of the best invitations you can give to bugs for a feast in your home. Have a look around your home for bridges in the form of tree branches or debris that can help bugs cross over to your home from outside. Clear the clutter and debris around your home, get rid of rotting wood from the garden and trim tree branches, so that they do not touch the roof or windows, and keep the garbage cans closed and sealed. Plant flowers and herbs like dill, wormwood, chrysanthemum, peppermint, rosemary, garlic and basil in your garden. In addition to chasing the bugs away, these plants will attract bees, ladybirds and birds that will keep your home bug free.
