SAPPHIRE Technology has always been associated with the eco-friendly label and now, it seems to take constructive steps in the direction of environmental preservation. At least introduction of its eco-friendly packaging for graphics card suggest that. The leading manufacturer and global supplier of AMD/ATI based graphics products now introduces paper pulp trays as the inner packaging for graphic cards.

The new packaging guidelines offer outer wrappings colored with eco-friendly ink and are entirely recyclable. However, it does not conclude here. Sapphire has a lot more to offer. The company also introduces a new type of box inlays made from paper pulp. Not only are they made from recycled paper material but are capable of being recycled all over again. It is evident that the cardboard boxes used for shipping graphic cards previously could not hold the cards and accessories efficiently. Therefore, the paper pulp tray will act as a good substitute as it is molded to hold the components safely during shipping. Efforts are being made to further develop this method making it effective for heavier model application, which presently ship in plastic carriers or foam packaging.
