Are you an admirer of innovation and intelligence? If yes, then you really need to check out what Larry Smith has to display. The clockmaker from south-central Mississippi has created interestingly designed clocks using recycled electronic parts and equipments. His brilliant work will be displayed at the Prairie Arts Festival this Saturday, where he can boast of his talent.

Smith makes these clocks using anything from discarded CDs to older computer parts and will display over 100 of his smaller clocks six to 10 of his larger creations, measuring 1-2 inches in diameter and up to 6 feet tall at his vendor’s booth at Commerce Street. Smith, who has been enhancing his skills for nearly 25 years now, was recently featured in the July-August issue of ‘Mississippi Gardner’ in an article on extreme recycling. His aesthetically beautiful creation is a boon for the environment as it keeps the electronic parts, CD’s and other equipment away from the landfills
