When a team of students at the Alberta College of Art and Design was asked to create something using a 2L plastic soda bottle that generates social or economic value, “Nature Calls” was born. Nature Calls is a refillable, waterproof toilet paper container and dispenser made using half of a 2-liter plastic soda bottle, a resealable bag, reflective tape, silicone, twine and recycled paper. Primarily targeted at outdoor enthusiasts, the toilet paper capsule is a great option for the times when a leaf just won’t do.
Nature Calls toilet paper dispenser can be easily suspended and comes with an optional light attachment to guide you in the dark. Moreover, the pouch has about 2,000 square inches of toilet paper storage space. The project team includes Amy Pon, Sarah Jensen, Janet Molchanko and Morgan Smith.
