Japanese farmers facing global warming's burnt

Global warming is stretching out its ugly hands towards Japan and extending them pretty fast too. The nation that prides itself as the largest producer of rice in the world is now confronting apprehensive time in its agricultural sector as the worries pertaining to climate change multiply.

It’s not a big deal for Japanese farmers to face high temperature during this time of the year when it’s summer in the Far East. The novelty lies in the unprecedented escalation in temperatures allied to summer heat waves and it is this strange and agonizing phenomenon that is at the heart of the Japanese agricultural department’s desperate attempts to come up with a solution to tackle climate change and global warming.

The extremely high temperatures have culminated in the production of low quality rice grains and the Japanese farmers are worried that this would decimate their demand and value in the international market.

Rice is the staple diet of entire Japan and the crop is cultivated at virtually al corners in the country. Although rice grains possessing the ability to tolerate high temperatures are in the process of being developed by the National Agricultural Research Center for Kyushu Okinawa Region, the pessimism is hard to shrug off.

So global warming and climate change have already started to affect the farming sector of our world. The change is already happening and the world leaders and environmentalists have to dig deep into their resources an come up with the solution to combating environmental changes.
